About Us
We at Ashoka Shishu Vihara, aim to create a difference in every child’s life. Through 60+ years of being in the education field, we have learned to impart our learning and experience to enrich children’s early stages of life. We have widened our scope and changed the conventional norms of teaching and brought about a truly integrated system of learning.
We believe every child is special. Our intention is to provide holistic education to all children irrespective of caste, creed, gender & religion. Our teachers, being a mix of young and experienced, support students in all facets of their life - providing them with individual attention they deserve.
Our school consists of AV-equipped classrooms, a library, a science lab, and a large open auditorium for all extra curricular activities.
We have been sharing our experiences generously with the community around us and are well known for our contribution to the field of learning & education. As a part of this contribution, every year, we organise a grand annual day programme in Makkala Koota park. It is attended by over 1000+ people to celebrate our fulfilling milestones. We also organise fun & exciting trips for students to relax and let their hair loose. Enriching children’s lives for over 60 years.

K.T. Banashankaramma was a remarkable woman who founded the school in a time when women were not encouraged to take on leadership roles, especially in the field of education. She was a visionary and a pioneer, who saw the importance of education in empowering women and creating a more equitable society. K.T. Banashankaramma was a strong and independent woman, who broke barriers and challenged social norms in order to realise her dream of providing quality education to all.
As the school's reputation grew, more and more families began to seek out its services. The school continued to expand, adding new classrooms and facilities to accommodate the growing number of students. Today, the school boasts a dedicated team of teachers and staff who are committed to providing the best possible education to the students. The growth of the school is a testament to the hard work and dedication of its founders, teachers, and staff, as well as the trust and support of our community.

The school has been providing quality education at an affordable cost for over 65 years, with a proud tradition of serving the community and making education accessible to all. Over the years, we have educated more than 60,000 students, many of whom have gone on to achieve great success in their chosen fields.
